Comp Style & Scoring:

  • Classic Redpoint
    • There will be 40 boulders total, with #1 being the easiest and #40 being the hardest (grading is subjective, but we will do our best).
    • Competitors have the goal of completing the highest value boulders, where each boulder has a unique point value. Each boulder will be worth a specific number of 100 points based on that boulder’s number (e.g., #1 = 100 pts, #10 = 1000 pts, etc.)
    • There are no Zones; only 0 for failed attempts and points for Tops.

A competitor’s final score is based on their top 5 completed boulders.

How Divisions Work

You don’t pick your division. Your score does.

After both waves, competitors are ranked by their top 5 sends within the Men’s and Women’s fields.

  • Elite/Open: Top 25%
  • Advanced: Next 25%
  • Intermediate: Next 25%
  • Recreational: Remaining 25%

For example, if there are 40 competitors in your field:

  • 1st–10th → Elite/Open
  • 11th–20th → Advanced
  • 21st–30th → Intermediate
  • 31st–40th → Recreational

Boulder numbers generally increase in difficulty, but your division is based on your final ranking against the field, not on which numbered boulders you complete.

Climb first. Your score decides your division. Boulder numbers generally increase in difficulty, but your division is based on your final ranking against the field, not on which numbered boulders you complete.

Finale:

  • Top 4 of Men's & Women's will partake in Our IFSC-Style Finale!
